This university was established for establishing the eternal value laws. It was founded in the year 2003 by the Chhattisgarh government.
This is a residential university and is included in the universities list maintained by the 1956 UCG ACT, the University Grants Commission.
Educational Streams
Hidayatullah National Law University provides LLB, LLM as well as PhD programs in Law. The LLB program admissions are made on merit basis as per the marks secured in the National Entrance Test.
The LLM program is for a period of two years comprising of four semesters. LLM candidates are selected by the Admission Committee and this is done based on their interview presentation and performance.
PhD program in Law is offered to the candidates possessing aggregate 55% marks in the qualifying exams. A 5 percent marks relaxation is applicable to the SC as well as ST candidates.
This university provides internship so that an effective professional training is given and this is done as per the regulation of Bar Council of India regarding legal education that emphasizes the requirement for professional training as well as to offer exposure to the students to suit the practical aspects of law.
Facilities
There is library at Hidayatullah National Law University with a treasure of law books, journals and case law reports. The library has open access system making access easier for the students to the library resources. The facilities of this university as well include Photocopying facility in the library.
The other facilities offered are Computer laboratory with internet facilities, Playgrounds, Mess and Canteen. The internet facility is available for all the students and staff. Similarly, the books are in abundance, while the law reports are very useful for the law students to understand the twists and turns to meet challenging cases. |
