Delhi or Dilli is a city in the Indian peninsula. With over 11 million inhabitants, this is considered as the second largest city in the country.

Because of its lovely landscapes and picturesque scenery, the city has been a major tourist destination during vacation. Oftentimes, these tourists eventually migrate to Delhi, thus turning it into a cosmopolitan city.

There are also other festivals being celebrated in the city including the festival of lights or Diwali, Mahavir Jayanti, Durga Puja, Lohri, Holi and Guru Nanak’s Birthday. These colorful festivals repeatedly amaze the locals as well as travelers. The literacy rate of the city is generally high, with 81.82% in the year 2001.

The government, Directorate of Education or private societies manage several schools in Delhi including 2, 515 primary, 635 elementary, 504 secondary and 1, 208 senior schools.
