Courses offered
The courses offered are MBBS, DM, MD or MS, B SC Nursing, medical and paramedical specialties, M.Sc, M.Biotech, B.Sc human biology, PG courses and Ph.D.
Admissions
Admissions are given every year to 45 Indian students based on all India entrance exam results for its undergraduate program. This comprises of 33 General, 11 SC or ST and 1 handicapped.
Five international students complete the strength of the class size as 50. The Post graduate courses also offers admission through competitive exams held six monthly. The courses offer exposure to unusual cases and are an excellent place for research.
Residential facilities
AIIMS has several campuses including five hostels for undergraduate men students and one hostel for women undergraduate students. These hostels together accommodate 850 students. Three hostels for men post graduate students and married couples are allocated and 1 for women students. There are hostels for nursing students, MD and other courses as well.
The AIIMS students involve in other academic movements and there is a large swimming pool, gym and courts for basketball, tennis, volleyball, soccer and squash to offer recreation. |
