Anand Agricultural University was instituted in 2004 and is prominent as a teaching as well as affiliating University to impart education in allied sciences and agriculture by a Gujarat legislature Act.
This university conducts research, teaching and extension training.
However, the university jurisdiction is spread over various districts of Anand, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Panchmahal, Vadodara and Dahod.
Educational Streams
Anand agricultural university offers courses in various disciplines including undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses. The streams include veterinary, dairy science and agriculture.
This university also offers MBA in the international agribusiness and the other courses that are conducted include food processing technology, agricultural information technology, agricultural technology and engineering.
They also offer certificate as well as diploma courses in various fields of home science, agriculture, poultry and bakery.
The Anand University provides polytechnic education for agriculture as well as agricultural engineering. This education is accorded for its research work and is carried in other 16 research station scattered over Gujarat and its six districts, besides the main campus.
Facilities
The university offers facilities identical to all other universities. It has a library in the consortium project of ICAR. This is an automated, digitized and modern library. The advantage of this library is that it is available to readers for all the working hours and on regular institutional holidays as well.
The teaching and non-teaching staffs are efficient and co-operative. The teaching staff helps the students in their subjects and imparts education such that their students are able to move in the challenging world with confidence.
