National Institute of Technology Hamirpur is sited in Hamirpur district at Anu in Himachal Pradesh.
This institute is a prestigious institute wide spread across India. This was established in 1986.
The NIT Hamirpur was known to be the Regional Engineering College owing to the joint and cooperative efforts of the Indian Government and Himachal Pradesh Government.
National Institute of Technology offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate as well as Doctorate education in Humanities, Engineering and Sciences. The Central Government has elevated the NIT Hamirpur to the level of National Institute of Technology and has accorded the Deemed University status.

The undergraduate courses many fields in engineering such as civil, mechanical, electrical, computer science and electronics and communication. Post graduate courses in civil engineering include water resources, infrastructure design and construction and geotechnical engineering.
The electrical engineering post graduate courses are power system, signal processing and control and control and protection of electrical apparatus and condition monitoring. The Mechanical engineering includes thermal engineering and computer aided design and manufacturing. The electronics and communication engineering course offers communication systems and networks and VLSI design automation and techniques.

Eligibility

Undergraduate applicants with 10 + 2 exam having subject’s chemistry, physics and mathematics are considered to be eligible.
- Post graduate applicants are expected to possess bachelors or masters degree in apposite discipline with minimum 60% marks.
- Aspirants for MBA should have a bachelor degree in any of the discipline with 60% marks.
- Doctorate applicants also need to have 60% marks in their masters degree in the appropriate discipline and enough experience.
