Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit has acquired the name after the famous sage as well as philosopher Sree Sankaracharya.
This Sanskrit university was established in Kalady in1993 on the river Poorna banks in Kerala.
This university also conducts academic courses and works for the preservation and publication of manuscripts as well as books in Sanskrit as well as other languages.

Educational Streams
This university is devoted towards promoting Indian values and Sanskrit literature. The university conducts an array of courses ranging from Diploma to MPhil. There are undergraduate programs available for music, Sanskrit core, dance and for other courses such as mural painting and normal painting.
