History
Makhanlal Chaturvedi was set up in Bhopal by the 1990 Act of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
This university acquired its name after a renowned Freedom Fighter, journalist and Poet, Makhanlal Chaturvedi. Formally, this university was inaugurated by the then 1991 Vice President of India, Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma,
Educational Streams
Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication offers education through its various teaching departments at Bhopal, and Noida Campuses and there is a good network of institutes scattered over the country.
There are Institutes offering diploma courses known as Registered Study Institutes. The courses offering degree as well as post graduate courses are known as Associated Study Institutes.
The prospectus of this university is confirmed by eminent professionals and academics. However, admissions are on merit basis and the media courses in graduate as well as postgraduate levels are the key components of the academic zone.
