IIT Bombay

The Indian Institute of Technology is referred to as (IIT) Bombay and this was founded in 1958 with the support of UNESCO and the Soviet Union.

This institute in Bombay is an autonomous institution situated at Powai in Mumbai.

This institute is the second campus to be considered as the oldest campus and the largest University in the Maharashtra state.

IIT Bombay has the pride of being ranked as the third finest institute of Science as well as Technology in Asia.

Courses
The Indian Institute of Technology offers courses for undergraduate and post graduate in various areas and as well deal with aerospace engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, metallurgical engineering, mechanical engineering and many more.

Admission Procedure
The undergraduate course applicants clearing the Joint entrance examination are given admission. The Post graduate applicants have to clear the written test as well as the interview for acquiring admission, but the GATE score is highly accounted.

The JAM test and interview is a must for candidates seeking admission for M.Sc. The admission for Doctorate courses is on the basis of entrance examination. The Dual course admission is based on the Joint entrance examination as well as personal interview.
