KIIT University is the abbreviated form of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology located in Bhubaneswar.
This university was incepted in 1997 and has gained approval by AICTE, the All India Council for Technical Education.
It has attained the university status from the HRD Ministry, the Government of India.
Its outstanding performance is evident in education and training, and this is the reason that it has it name in the Limca Book of Records recorded to be the youngest University in the entire country.
History
Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology has emerged as a place of excellence in the areas of professional education. It began in 1992 as an institute for industrial training in a rented building with two faculties and merely 12 students.
Facilities
KIIT University learners are facilitated to enjoy full residential features. There are individual hostels for girls as well as boys students, Health club, Gym, Modern Hospital offering latest facilities, Indoor Stadium, Immense Outdoor stadium, Banking, Transportation, etc are some of the common facilities available in this university.

(MCI) Medical Council of India, (AICTE) All India Council for Technical Education, (DCI) Dental Council of India and (BCI) Bar Council of India as applicable.
There were several programs accredited by (NBA) the National Board of Accreditation and (NAAC) National Accreditation and Assessment Council of the (UGC) the University Grant Commission.
M Tech or B Tech or Research programs in Biotechnology, Technology, MCA, BCA, BBA and MBA are also offered in Law as well as Rural Management. Appreciating the existing time need, KITT has begun offering education in Film Studies, Mass Communication, Design and Sculpture. Entrance examinations are the main criteria to secure admission in this university. |
