History
National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research was developed as a place of excellence to impart higher education, develop and research in pharmaceutical sciences.
This institute was declared as an institute of national importance by the parliament in 1998 to cater the long-standing demand for offering quality higher education as well as advanced research in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Educational Streams
NIPER provides courses in MBA for Pharm/ MS Pharm/MPharm, MTech Pharm and programs in Doctoral courses. This education is on the credit system and every course has credits describing its significance. The master’s programs course length is for four semesters and the doctoral programs are courses with six to ten semesters.
It is compulsory to attend every practical class and lecture conducted in the university. Admission in master’s programs is considered only on passing a written test as well as clearing the group discussion as well as interview.
PhD applicants have to clear a written exam and interview. Applicants sponsored by the government departments, public or private sector undertakings; research and development organizations are given 5% seats.
Facilities
Maintaining the status of this pharmaceutical education is done in a systematic manner and in this accord all the facilities are provided to the learners.
