Banasthali Vidhyapeeth is a women’s university founded in the year 1935 by Pandit Hiralal Shastri and Smt. Ratan Shastri.
This was established in the remembrance of Shanta Bai, their daughter.
This is a UGC recognized university and is prominently known only for women.
It was awarded the A Grade by the NAAC. Banasthali Vidhyapeeth emerged in 1935, but was adopted only in 1943 and later on in 1983 it was awarded the Deemed university status by the UGC.
Facilities
Bansthali Vidhyapeeth offers complete residential facilities. This university is well maintained and is an exceptionally environmental friendly campus. It also includes spacious playgrounds, canteens and swimming pool as the basic facilities of this university campus.
Banasthali Vidhyapeeth FM radio station (90.4 MHz) broadcasting is the main platform for vibrant as well as creative students. Here, in this educational institution students are encouraged to enhance their skills as well present their writing through a school magazine called Kilkari.

Educational Fields
Banasthali Vidhyapeeth has a five fold Educational Program to attain the objective of synthesizing the spiritual value as well as scientific achievements of both, East and West. This five fold educational program includes Practical, Physical, Aesthetic, Intellectual and Moral.
The school curriculum also includes a sponsored training program offered by a British Council for young learners.
The school education includes Elementary, Secondary and Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, besides higher education is as well covered through various programs offering courses in Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD.
Other features
The computer lab makes learning process easier and there are classes for horse riding, classical dances, marshal arts and many more certificate courses. The mental and physical capabilities take a sequel and so the students take part in various co-curricular activities in the academic session that are conducted namely recitation, speech, story telling, hand writing, learning craft and mathematics quiz.
