University of Rajasthan is an old well-known university that has been awarded A+ by the NAAC India.
Earlier, the jurisdiction of this University had spread throughout the Rajasthan state. Conversely, owing to the emergence of many more other universities, its affiliating jurisdiction had to come down, yet the University still holds and is known to be the hub of higher education.
This University was founded in 1947 and was renamed as the Rajasthan University in the year 1956.
