Governement Schools in Pune

Pune government schools are government owned and they offer good education to their students. This includes course from the primary education to high school levels.

The pune schools are many and are affiliated to various boards such as ICSE, CBSE or State board. However, all the private schools are affiliated to the Maharashtra state secondary schools board known as SSC.

In the normal course, people in Pune prefer seeking admission in the private schools as their medium of instruction is English and offer huge number of facilities to each student.

There are convents and residential schools also in Pune in big numbers, but the government schools in Pune have their own base and teaching standards.

The government schools in Pune also receive students from other places and the Pune Municipal Corporation takes care of it. The government schools are located in urban and rural areas and offer irregular education owing to lack of adequate teachers.

Moreover, students studying here come from lower income strata families who fail showing much concern regarding studying. This is the reason that parents taking studies seriously move their wards to private schools.

However, in some government schools, the education is good and the students are given free uniform, books and stationary, besides free midday meal in some government schools.
