Madurai Kamaraj University is located in Tamil Nadu in the Madurai town. It is a public institution facilitated for higher learning.

The distance education was founded in 1971 and there are 73 study centers across the country, 16 information centers and 29 Spot admission centers within Tamil Nadu, besides 10 study centers beyond the limits of Tamil Nadu.
