Sri Ramachandra University is sited in Chennai at Porur. It was earlier known as Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute.
This University began in 1985 as under the guidance of Shri N.P.V. Ramasamy Udayar.
In 1994, SRU acquired the status of Deemed University and this University was accredited A Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
