Uttar Pradesh is the state with the largest population in the country of India. Nearly 190 million people crowd the agricultural area of Uttar Pradesh as declared in the 2008 census.

First founded in 1885 as an orphanage, the establishment slowly became a school for children and was called St. Francis’ School and Orphanage. A charitable society funds this private college exclusively for boys. Here, they teach from the nursery level up to the higher point.
English Hindi, Physics, Biology and Computer Literacy are some of the subjects offered in this college. Aside from academic courses, there are also extra-curricular activities for the students including debates, music, drama, food crafts and others. St. Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of the school.
From unaided colleges, there are also state government funded colleges in Uttar Pradesh such as Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology. This is an engineering college established in the year 1976 as Faculty of Technology. In 1983, it was renamed with its present title. One of India’s leading technical organizations, top engineers have graduated in this institution with skills that could match the world’s best engineers.
Doctoral Programs are also provided here including Applied Physics, Humanities, Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering. There are also courses provided for working people like Water Resources Engineering, Solid State Control Machine Design for Mechanical Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering for Civil Engineering.
The Asian Academy of Film and Television initiated the launching of film schools in the world. Several students from more than 60 countries have enrolled in this institution in hopes of taking part in the exciting lifestyle of show business.
