IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Kharagpur emerged in 1950. This is a technological as well as engineering institution established by the Indian Government and was formally declared to be the institute of National importance.

Courses
This institute offers a spectrum of undergraduate and post graduate courses. They also have dual, doctorate and integrated courses.

Eligibility
Eligibility for the undergraduate courses considers 10+2 marks eligible for the aspirants to seek admission, but of course the marks have to be adequate. Post graduate students need to be a graduate having a B.Tech or B.E degree from a repute institution or university.
Graduate students from a recognized university can apply for MBA. Similarly, the dual course is for undergraduates from a repute university and the integrate aspirants are expected to have a bachelor’s degree.
Process of Admission
Joint entrance exam clearance with best marks is a must to seek courses for under graduate. The post graduate course is expected to have a best GATE score. MBA course is given admission on the basis of written test, interview and group discussion. Dual and the Integrate course admission is given on the joint entrance exam marks.
