Visva Bharati University provides an education scheme commencing from nursery to doctoral research.

Vidya Bhavan is an institute of humanities offering honors courses in Japanese, Persian, Santali and Tibetan and the institute of sciences is popular as Shiksha Bhavan. Binay Bhavan refers to the institute of education and the Kala Bhavan is popular for its fine arts.
This university holds a common admission test in the graduation level. The Ph.D course aspirants are expected to have an aggregate of 50% marks in their master’s degree and also in the tests such as UGC or ICAR or IIT or CSIR.
Facilities
The university has over 40 hostels and it accommodates students pursuing their education in this institute. There are 5 canteens and 15 kitchens in the campus of this university. This university houses many guest houses that are offered to the relatives of students as well as visitors coming as guests.
Merit scholarships are offered to needy and deserving students. However, this institute offers all the basic amenities, besides book bank and library. They also give more attention to physical education.
